What will happen with your residence?

As a family member of a UK national, your current residence in Slovakia, or the residence which you register before 31 December 2020, will be changed automatically from an EU to a non-EU status.

You will obtain one of the relevant types of permanent residence.

All you have to do is apply for a new Residence Card. The new Residence Card will be a non-EU Residence Card and will replace your EU Residence Card.
